Bradley Beal

Many of Bradley Beal’s tattoos are dedicated to his family. As described by an October 2012 Washington Post profile, his right arm features “four descending stars, with the letters B-E-A-L inside, and names of his four siblings — Brandon, Bruce, Byron and Bryon — to the right of the stars. The names of his parents, Bobby and Besta, arch above them all.” The article also mentions that his mother accompanied Beal to his first tattoo session, and that he was fifteen years old at the time.

Beal participated in a video interview with GQ in January 2020 for which he talks through many of his tattoos. As discussed in the video, on the inside of his biceps he has two ambigrams - one word which reads as another word when flipped upside down. As seen in the stills above, on his left arm is the word "Faith" which reads as "Hope" when viewed upside down, and on his right arm is the word "Family" which reads as "Forever" when flipped upside down.

Beal posted the above photo to his instagram account in June 2016, captioning it "Jesus!"

In July 2015, Slam Magazine asked Beal what's one thing readers would be surprised to learn about him. Beal replied: “I draw. I drew all my tattoos.”

For CSN Washington interview, Beal was asked to name his favorite tattoo. “The one with all my brothers,” he replied, “my stars going down my arm… I got four brothers, so one gets each letter: Brandon, Bruce, Byron, and Bryan.”
