For a 2019 article about tattoos in the NBA, Kent Bazemore described his motivation for getting his first tattoos:
“I was in that phase where it was kind of cool,” Bazemore said. “’Wiz Khalifa was a huge inspiration for my tattoos."Bazemore explained that he got all of his tattoos between 2008 and 2012, and that he had started to regret his decision:
“I haven’t gotten any since then, man,” Bazemore said. “If I could do it all over, I probably wouldn’t have any.”

On Bazemore's right arm, he has a tattoo that includes the serenity prayer, an image of Atlas holding up the earth, and the North Carolina state flag (Bazemore was born in Kelford, NC).
