Jae'Sean Tate has two tattoos on his leg, both in tribute to his mother, who was murdered by her boyfriend when Tate was just eight years old. The Ringer profiled Tate in 2021 and included this description of the designs:
Jae’Sean is still always thinking about his mom. Especially when the 25-year-old Houston Rockets rookie looks down at his left leg, which has a tattoo of a key with her first name at the top and her birthday at the bottom. Recently, he added another tattoo to the quad on the same leg: a portrait of her.
