Jayson Tatum

In 2021, Jayson Tatum had the number 24 tattooed on his left leg, a tribute to Kobe Bryant.

During the 2020 all star break, Tatum added a tattoo to his back, as seen in the above photo.

In March 2019, A. Sherrod Blakely profiled Tatum for NBC Sports, focusing on the player's admiration for his father, Justin Tatum. The article quotes Tatum: “I always wanted to be like my dad so I always wanted to get tattoos." He goes on to say that his first tattoos "hurt so bad, I was like I’m never doing it again. But then I had a son so that was my next tattoo. I wanted something to compliment this leg. Then I got a picture of my mom.”

At the same time as the profile mentioned above, Dave Green of NBC Sports shared two photos on his twitter account - one of the tattoo on Tatum's leg, showing his high school and college jerseys, and one of the photo used as inspiration for the design:

As first reported by Nicole Yang on twitter, Tatum arrived for the Celtics January 2019 game against the Raptors with a new tattoo on his left calf. An NBC Sports profile published in March 2019 confirmed the design is a portrait of Tatum's mother, Brandy Cole.

Just before the start of the 2018-19 season, Tatum posted photos of his new tattoos to instagram. On his right thigh is a tribute to his hometown, St. Louis. On his left thigh is a portrait of Tatum holding his son.
