Jordan Clarkson entered the league in 2014 with no tattoos. He played three and a half seasons for the Lakers, and in February 2018 was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Also in February of 2018, Clarkson got his first tattoo, and within the next year quickly became one of the more heavily tattooed players in the league. For a November 2018 profile in the Athletic, Joe Vardon spoke with Jimmy Hayden of Focused Tattoo, who's done a bunch of Clarkson's work. Vardon praised the player's dedication:
“In my 20 years of doing this, every now and then I come across someone who has an accelerated sense of commitment to getting tattoos. Jordan’s on a different level,” Hayden said. “He’s dedicated to the images he’s envisioned, the style he wants, no questions asked. He’s not getting a bunch of bullshit.”
